Gyraffe Gypsum Wall Plaster is a high-performance gypsum-based plaster developed for manual application on internal walls and ceilings. Manufactured from high-purity natural gypsum with advanced performance additives, it delivers excellent workability, reliable adhesion and a smooth, uniform finish in a single-coat application. It replaces traditional cement-sand plaster and can also be used for punning over cement-sand plaster.

Process of Jointing & Finishing

Surface Preparation

  • Ensure the substrate is clean, sound and free of dust and grease.
  • Dampen highly absorbent surfaces; apply a bonding agent (PVA/SBR) on smooth concrete.
  • Set level guides where needed.

Mixing & Application

  • Add the plaster to clean water at 75:100 and mix lump-free.
  • Apply with a stainless-steel trowel, building to thickness.
  • Rule off to a true, level plane.

Finishing

  • As the surface firms up, trowel smooth with a little clean water.
  • Polish for a paint-ready finish.
  • Protect from rapid drying while curing.

10 – 20 mm is recommended on walls, with a maximum of 30 mm. Ceilings take up to 10 mm.

No. This plaster requires no water curing, which saves both time and water on site.

Initial set is 20 – 25 minutes and final set 45 – 60 minutes, mixed at a water to powder ratio of 1 : 1.25.
